The NOAA/NESDIS Frequency Allocation Manager, Dave McGinnis, sent me a form to fill out in order to officially register a GOES GVAR reciever, so that there is an official position from which to protest RF interference at the GVAR downlink frequency, 1685 MHz.
McGinnis writes:
"I have enclosed a list of system parameters required to properly enter the GSFC station in the national registry. Upon receipt, I will pass the parameter list to the Department of Commerce radio frequency assigner, Richard Schlapia. He in turn will coordinate with NASA's Frequency Assignment Subcommittee representative, Hank Schuett, for registering your station in the Government Master File."The form is plain typewritten text on a page, and looks like this:
